Black ant

Morphology: Measure 4 to 5m.m. They are brownish black.

Habitat and food: usually outdoors, on earth and under slabs on sunny sides, indicating the presence of ground ant spray around. They are omnivorous, preferring sweet foods high in protein.

Life cycle: The queen lays 300 to 500 eggs during their lifetime.
