Morphology: 6-7mm.de measure length, blackish or dark blue color bright red/ brown eyes, antennae and legs with plenty of mushrooms and abdomen glabrous.

Habitat and diet: cosmopolitan, is attracted by strong smelling foods such as cheese, ham, bacon. Waste, feces and contaminated materials.

Life cycle: The period from egg to adult takes 2 weeks to 1 month. The larvae hatch in 30 hours of laying.
